Candid, intimate wedding photography for couples who want to remember how it felt, not just how it looked
I'm there to observe, notice, and capture the real connection, the quiet moments, and the version of you that shows up when no one's thinking about the camera.
No stiff posing. No pretending. Just the freedom to be yourselves.
If you care more about being present than being perfect, we're probably going to get along really well.
“Getting your photo taken can feel so uncomfortable but Barbara has such a glowing, free spirited, kind presence that you forget about the lens and you just feel like you're hanging out with a friend.”

Hello!
I’m Barbara
A documentary wedding photographer with over ten years of experience helping couples feel at ease and creating images that are honest, emotional, and true to who they actually are.
I've been honored to be nominated as a Washingtonian Weddings Best Vendor for 2025 and 2026 and recognized with the WeddingWire Couples' Choice Award every year since 2017. But what means the most to me is delivering photographs that still feel like you years from now.
I’m so happy that you’re here!
You're the best at being you!Come exactly as you are. Whatever your story looks like, that's the version of you I hope to capture.
YOUR ONLY JOB IS TO BE FULLY PRESENT!
Laugh until your cheeks hurt, squeeze each other's hands a little tighter, dance with your favorite people, and soak in every moment. I'll take care of remembering it all, so years from now, you won't remember posing for photos. You'll remember exactly how it felt.
You get to live your wedding day. I'll make sure you never forget it.

“If I didn’t marry my husband, I think I would have married Barbara after my experience with her. I know our wedding was made more special because Barbara, not only with her pictures but her wonderful and warm personality. At the end of everything, we definitely walked away with a friend.”
