MEET YOUR NEW ADVENTURE BUDDY
I'm Barbara, an adventurer and passionate about life and the world we live in. I was born in Brazil, raised in Portugal, lived in Germany and am currently living in Maryland with Darrion, my other half. We met in 2008 in Prague and it was definitely one of those love-at-first-sight cliché stories. I’m such a romantic! I believe in fairy tales, love candle-lit dinners and dancing to Van Morrison under a starry sky.
We have a hilarious Australian Shepherd called Tulkas who can do full 360s spin on air and two cats, Canya, who believes she’s a dog and follows us in every single hike we go for, and Círdan, a street cat we found that only wants to eat and lay on the couch. We also welcomed our daughter, Melian, to join our family in 2022. She’s the sweetest thing in the entire planet and we are completely enchanted by her. If you’re a Tolkien fan like Darrion is, you might recognize all these names we picked.
When I’m not working, I’m basically with these guys and Darrion, most likely traveling, playing disc golf, cooking or having spontaneous dance parties. When Spring comes, besides shooting weddings, you’ll find me playing in my vegetable garden and hop-yard, visiting my bee hives, or kayaking. And when Fall comes around, you better believe that we’ll be jamming around the bonfire and eating apple pie.
So yeah, I love both nature and city-life! I feel lucky I live on a beautiful piece of property surrounded by trees, birds and deers and still so close to main cities like Baltimore, DC, Philly and NYC. The perfect combo!

I care deeply about my relationship with my couples. I believe that fostering that connection will allow me to capture more authentic moments and document who you really are.
I know how stressful and overwhelming wedding planning can be (been there, done that!), and I want you to know that I'll be there with you, for you. I’ll communicate with you every step of the way, help you find the best location for your engagement session, give you a ton of tips, recommend vendors, help you plan your timeline and be prepared for your wedding day. I got your back!
Often I mix up the words ‘Chicken’ and ‘kitchen’, so if I tell you ‘Let’s take some photos in the chicken’, you know what I mean
