Summer Camp DIY Wedding | Camp West Mar

Miranda and Evan's wedding was super casual and fun! They are the outdoorsy kind of couple that love to camp with their dog Hamlet, an adventurous english bulldog, on weekends. So they didn't think twice before deicing they wanted a Summer Camp Wedding. It was an early September day and the morning started with a beautiful fog over the grounds of Camp West Mar.

Camp West Mar was the perfect location for them. They had the whole camp for themselves over the weekend and all their family and friends spent some quality time together. That's what weddings are all about, and I love camp weddings for that reason. People really get to bond and help each other out with all the wedding details. Did I say wedding details? Heck yeah! Miranda is super creative, talented and into DIY details. She has an amazing sense for design and aesthetics and all the details were well thought out and breathtaking.

She made a welcome booklet for every guest with the camp program, details about the wedding, personal photos of Evan and her, and some other stuff. The whole thing was so thoughtful and the design the cutest I've seen, with colorful washi tapes, different types of paper, stamps, ...

And can we please stop for a moment and see how GORGEOUS Miranda’s dress is? It fits her like a glove and I love how is not 100% white. It’s like a grey-ish white. Just stunning!

And they got married under a beautiful macrame arch that they put together themselves.

I rented a drone for some epic shots of them canoeing!  And of course they were up for the adventure. Miranda is the kind of person/bride that doesn't mind getting her dress dirty. And I LOVE that about her! I think a good way to measure how much fun you had on your wedding day is seeing how dirty your wedding dress got! :)

Meanwhile their guests are having a blast back at the camp. Miranda and Evan organized plenty of activities to entertain the crowd. They had a ‘Make your own flower crown bar’, yard games and a full obstacle race course.
Miranda runs obstacle races and she wanted to incorporate that in her Summer Camp wedding. She made the whole course and the guests had so much fun! They even provided prizes at the end of the evening for the champions and an award for the slowest person. So thoughtful.

Besides a delicious pizza truck, they also had a cookie truck coming to the camp, and the line got long!

They planned to release paper lanterns in the pond at night and as soon as all the guests walked to the pond, it began pouring down rain. But that didn't stop them. It wasn't as easy and they couldn't fill the pond with lanterns as expected, but they still released some for good luck!

The End!
