Exchange of Vows on Mountain Top
Andrew and Mack are both in the Air Force. They spent the first three years of their relationship chasing each other from one assignment to the next. Most of their time was spent long distance, and they couldn't take it any longer! Last Fall, Andrew and Mack decided to get married, and hopefully be sent to the same assignments from then on. Andrew organized a surprise wedding for Mack. Yes, a S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E wedding. He proposed to her, she said Yes! and they got married right there on his backyard, as he already had a friend lined up to officiate their ceremony. He also had a bunch of their friends that came to celebrate with them their official union. Because it was a surprise wedding, they didn't have time to write meaningful vows to each other. And this is where I came in their love story. They wanted to read vows to each other and have such special moment documented.
It was a cloudy day at King and Queen' Seat, an epic mountain top in Rock State Park, Maryland. I arrived in the parking lot and was immediately upset when I saw so many cars. I really wanted them to have an intimate and quiet moment and not have to be around too many people. Luckily, it started raining quite a bit and suddenly, everybody went back to their cars and left. I just had to hope that they would be ok being in the rain. And (yes!) they were totally fine! We were blessed by the rain. The light was gorgeous and we had the whole place just for us. It was magical!
They exchanged vows, they cried, they laughed, they hugged, and cried some more. It was really special and a huge honor to document such powerful moment in their lives.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy going through these photos as much I enjoyed taking them!
