Black-Tie Winter Wedding Parque Ridley Creek | Glen Mills, PA

Maybe it's just me, but I'm obsessed with Nadya and AJ's absolutely magical winter wedding at Parque Ridley Creek.

If you’ve ever been to Parque in Glen Mills for a wedding or event during the warmer months, you know that this venue is just jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The stone work, the lushly forested grounds, the incredible antique wood paneling in the event spaces, Parque is a feast for the eyes.

What I wasn’t prepared for was the fantastically storybook quality Parque began take on when the snow started to fall and stick.

Suddenly, the winter landscape was dusted in a glossy white, the fine powdery snow that makes everything look pristine. Everything got a little quieter, a little softer, and wow did that amp up the romance of the day.

Nadya and AJ were such good sports about this opportunity and totally embraced their first look in the snow! The bride even went without a jacket to get those gorgeous dress-in-its-fully-glory shots, and then added the classy fur shrug for a luxurious formal feel.

I so loved that their floral palette was deep rich reds, plums, and burgundy because her wedding bouquet looked so stunning against the wintery backdrop.

Though they didn’t have a traditional wedding party, Nadya and AJ did share precious moments with their family pre-ceremony with their ketubah signing, and then tied the knot against a bay of leaded glass windows overlooking the snowy grounds.

One of the other facets of this wedding that I loved was how committed Nadya was to celebrating her groom.

In our conversations, as we were getting to know each other, the bride shared that she often found weddings to be very bride-centric, and how that didn’t seem fair to her since it was her future husband’s day too. Nadya wanted AJ to feel just as special on a day that was supposed to be about celebrating their union.

To underline this value that she held close to her heart, Nadya ended up surprising AJ with a mobile cigar bar during the reception! It was so sweet to see his surprise when it was all set up, and the pictures were pretty priceless too!

It was a fabulous day with imagery that we don’t often see on wedding blogs, which are full of warm-weather weddings, or the sepia tones of Fall. I had a blast capturing this snow-dusted paradise and wouldn’t mind another venture into a winter wonderland!
